Frequently asked questions
Is the app free? Are there subscriptions or in-app purchases?
The app is completely free. There are no subscriptions, no in-app purchases, no paywalled lessons, and no advertising.
Do I need an account or an internet connection?
No account is needed — there is no sign-up or login at all. Lessons and your diary work offline, directly on your device.
Where are my diary entries stored?
Entirely on your device, in the app's own storage. There is no server behind the app, so the developer cannot see, read, or recover your entries. If you have iCloud device backup enabled, the app's data may be included in your regular Apple device backup.
Will I lose my diary if I delete the app?
Yes. Deleting the app permanently removes all of its locally stored data, including your diary entries. Save anything important elsewhere first, because this cannot be undone.
How do I move my data to a new iPhone?
Use Apple's standard device transfer or an iCloud/Finder backup restore. When the app is restored to the new device as part of that backup, its data comes with it. The app itself has no separate export or sync feature.
The app crashes, freezes, or a lesson will not open.
Please try these steps in order:
- Force-quit the app and reopen it.
- Restart your iPhone.
- Update to the latest version of the app and of iOS.
- Make sure your device has some free storage available.
If the problem persists, email us with your device model, iOS version, app version, and the steps that trigger it.
Can I suggest a lesson, a figure, or a feature?
Absolutely — suggestions are welcome and shape what gets built next. Send them to lena.carusoi@hotmail.com.
Is the app a replacement for a tango teacher?
No. It is a practice companion for learning and reviewing at home. Tango is a partner dance, and regular classes or private lessons with a teacher remain the best way to progress. Practise within your physical limits and stop if anything hurts.
